Dario Campos

Dario Campos OFM (born June 9, 1948 in Castelo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Vitória .

Life

Dario Campos joined the religious order of the Franciscans in, put the eternal vows from on 10 February 1975 and received on 8 December 1977, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Araçuaí on July 5, 2000 . He was ordained episcopate on September 26th of the same year by the Archbishop of Belo Horizonte , Serafím Cardinal Fernandes de Araújo ; Co- consecrators were José Belisário da Silva OFM, Bishop of Bacabal , and Crescênzio Rinaldini , Bishop of Araçuaí. As a motto he chose NAS TUAS MÃOS .

With the retirement of Crescênzio Rinaldini, he succeeded him on August 8, 2001 as Bishop of Araçuaí. On June 23, 2004 he was appointed Bishop of Leopoldina .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on April 27, 2011 bishop of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim . On November 7, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Vitória. The inauguration took place on January 5, 2019.
