The Diocese of Leopoldina ( lat. : Dioecesis Leopoldinensis ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Leopoldina in the state of Minas Gerais .
history
The diocese Leopoldina was on March 28, 1942 by Pope Pius XII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quae ad maius from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Juiz de Fora and the Archdiocese of Mariana . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mariana as a suffragan . On April 14, 1962, the Leopoldina diocese was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Juiz de Fora as a suffragan.
