Julija Wiktarauna Neszjarenka ( Belarusian Юлія Віктараўна Несцярэнка , Eng. Transcription Yulia Nestsiarenka, also Russian Юлия Нестеренко / Julia Nesterenko, born Barzewitsch * 15. June 1979 in Brest ) is a Belarusian sprinter and Olympic champion .

Neszjarenka first became known to a wider public when she was eliminated in the semifinals in the 100-meter run at the 2002 European Championships in Munich with 11.44 s.

The following year, she won seventh place with the Belarusian 4 x 100 meter relay at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis . Her personal annual best in 2003 was 11.45 s. After hard training in autumn 2003, Njeszjarenka experienced a real explosion in performance.

The increase in performance was already indicated in March 2004 at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest , when she won the bronze medal in 7.12 seconds over 60 meters behind Gail Devers (USA) and Kim Gevaert (BEL). Neszjarenka entered the final with a fever.

In her few starts in the Olympic year, Neszjarenka continuously improved her performance. At a sports festival in Rethymno on June 23, 2004 she set a Belarusian record over 100 meters with 11.02 seconds. She won the Golden League meeting in Rome on July 2, 2004 in 11.13 seconds.

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Nesterenko continued to improve. In the lead over 100 meters she already ran 10.94 s, in the semi-finals she reached 10.92 s. So she came with the seventh best personal best in the Olympic final on August 21, 2004. There she got off to a weak start, but got better and better and in the end won in 10.93 s before the American Lauryn Williams . At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 Lauryn Williams finally won, and Neszjarenka was only eighth in the final. However, she won a bronze medal with the Belarusian 4 x 100 meter relay.

Julija Neszjarenka is married to the Belarusian 400-meter runner Dzmitry Neszjarenka. With a height of 1.73 m, she has a competition weight of 61 kg.
