Julius Gottlieb Wilhelm Adolf von Zastrow (born February 28, 1802 in Landsberg an der Warthe , † March 25, 1884 in Wiesbaden ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

origin

Julius Gottlieb Wilhelm Adolf came from the noble family Zastrow . He was a son of the Prussian major general Wilhelm Ernst von Zastrow (1769-1854) and his wife Sophie Juliane Brunkow (1778-1861).

Military career

Zastrow began his career in 1819 with the 1st Guard Regiment on foot , where he became a porter ensign that same year . In 1820 he was transferred to the 29th Infantry Regiment and in 1822 he was promoted to Second Lieutenant , in 1836 to Prime Lieutenant , in 1844 finally to Captain with appointment as Company Commander of the 40th Infantry Regiment . In 1850 Zastrow was a major in the 1st Battalion of the 20th Landwehr Regiment in Spandau, then in 1856 he was transferred to the 20th Infantry Regiment . In the same year he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and in 1857 Zastrow was second in command of Koblenz and Ehrenbreitstein and from 1859/60 he was colonel and commander of Koblenz. On May 17, 1864, Zastrow was put up for disposal as major general with a pension .

family

Zastrow married Pauline von Zastrow called von Küssow in 1840 (born June 13, 1803, † August 3, 1841). On June 4, 1845, Kostheim married Maria Rosine Mathilde von Moers (born January 19, 1825 in Frankfurt am Main; † August 23, 1897 in Wiesbaden). The following children were born from this marriage:
