Julius Jordan (politician, 1813)

Julius Jordan (born November 10, 1813 in Kürtow , Neumark , † July 22, 1893 in Halle (Saale) ; full name Franz Alexander Wilhelm Julius Jordan ) was a Prussian civil servant and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

Julius Jordan, son of the preacher in Kürtow near Arnswalde , studied law and political science in Halle (Saale) and Berlin from 1832 . In 1835 he became a regional court trainee and in 1841 a court judge in Berlin. In the same year he was transferred to the General Commission for the Province of Pomerania in Stargard as a government assessor. From 1842 to 1851 he worked as a special commissioner and agricultural expert in Gollnow . He then became a councilor in the government in Merseburg . In 1873 he came to the government in Danzig as senior government councilor and in 1878 to the government in Potsdam . In 1887 he was retired.

Political career

In 1848 he was elected to the 8th constituency of the province of Pomerania ( Massow ) in the Frankfurt National Assembly, where he first joined the Casino and then the Landsberg faction. He participated in the Legislative Committee. In 1849 he took part in the Gotha post-parliament .

From 1859 to 1863 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . There he belonged to the Vincke parliamentary group until 1862 , then temporarily to the right wing, before joining the Free Parliamentary Association.
