Jutta Maria Fries

Jutta Maria Fries (* before 1975 in Bochum ) is a German opera , concert and lied singer ( soprano ).

Life

Jutta Maria Fries studied singing with Carl-Heinz Müller at the University of Music and Theater in Hanover . In 1999 she received her diploma as an opera singer and in 2002 she completed her studies with the concert exam. She completed further studies and master classes with Krisztina Laki . In 1999 she received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation.

From 2003 to 2007 Jutta Maria Fries was a member of the ensemble of the Landestheater Detmold , where she developed a broad repertoire. She sang, among others, Fiordiligi ( Così fan tutte ), Donna Anna ( Don Giovanni ), Frau Fluth ( Die Lustigen Frauen von Windsor ), Gretel ( Hansel and Gretel ), Marie ( The Bartered Bride ), Agathe ( Der Freischütz ), Rosalinde ( Die Fledermaus ) and Helena ( A Midsummer Night's Dream ).

Her repertoire includes the passions and cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach , the oratorios by Georg Friedrich Händel , Josef Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy , the masses by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Ludwig van Beethoven , Gioachino Rossini and Anton Bruckner , and Ein deutsches Requiem by Johannes Brahms , Golgotha by Frank Martin and songs by, among others, Franz Schubert , Clara Schumann , Robert Schumann and Richard Strauss .

In 2004 and 2006 she sang Donna Anna as part of the Herrenhausen Festival and in 2015 in the Festival Choir of the Bayreuth Festival .
