Kölsch-Büllesbach is a district of Krautscheid , which belongs to the local community Buchholz (Westerwald) in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Neuwied . The village had 215 inhabitants (2012).

location

Kölsch-Büllesbach is located in the Niederwesterwald northwest of the main town Buchholz. The state border with North Rhine-Westphalia runs to the west and north of the town . The village is connected to the main town of Buchholz and Bundesstraße 8 via state road 275 .

history

Under the name Büllesbach , the place belonged to an area that was part of the Electorate of Cologne until the 19th century , was awarded to Prince zu Wied-Runkel in 1803 due to the Reichsdeputation Hauptschluss and went to the Duchy of Nassau after the establishment of the Rhine Confederation . Here Büllesbach was assigned to the office Altenwied , parish Asbach , Honnschaft Krautscheid . In 1815 the area was ceded to Prussia. In 1835 the Archdiocese of Cologne elevated Buchholz to an independent parish and Büllesbach moved from Asbach to the new Buchholz parish along with other localities. Under Prussian administration, Büllesbach was one of the twelve districts of the municipality of Krautscheid in the Neuwied district, Koblenz district , administered by the Asbach mayor . The census in 1885 showed for the living space 105 inhabitants and 27 residential buildings Büllesbach. In 1974 the Krautscheid community was dissolved and merged into the newly formed local community of Buchholz (Westerwald).

In 1987 Kölsch-Büllesbach had 465 inhabitants.

education

The Jungeoth primary school has been located in Kölsch-Büllesbach since 1930 . It was originally built in Jungeoth in 1871, but then moved to the larger building in Büllesbach. 71 students from different parts of Buchholz are currently attending the four classes of the school.

Monuments

There are three in Kölsch Büllesbach cultural monuments : A half-timbered house from the first half of the 19th century on Heideweg 9, a half-timbered Quereinhaus in Hennef Street 18 (17th-19th century..) And the Crossroads of sandstone over the Heck Road 17 (late 19th century).

Sports

The local dance corps Grün-White Funken vom Zippchen e. V. was founded in 1955 and has 110 active members of all ages. The dancers perform as part of the Rhenish Carnival and other festivities. The association has specialized in guard dance since 2007 .
