The Royal Bavarian Artillery and Engineering School , until 1872 Royal Bavarian Artillery and Genius school was a military training center for the Bavarian Army for the scientific and technical training of cadets of the artillery - and engineering corps .
history
The educational institution was originally founded on January 1, 1857 as an artillery and genius school in Munich and was named Artillery and Engineering School on April 1, 1872. It was disbanded with the outbreak of the First World War on August 1, 1914.
The training facility was comparable to the United Artillery and Engineering School of the Prussian Army in Berlin , where officers who had already been promoted to lieutenants were trained. The Junkers completed a two-year course at the Bavarian Academy . From 1866 to 1894, the institution was located together with the Bavarian War Academy in the eastern half of the Herzog-Max-Burg and was then relocated to the Marsfeld .
