Köseli is a former village in Bismil County in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır . Köseli is located about 53 km southeast of the provincial capital Diyarbakır and 6 km west of Bismil. According to the last census, Köseli had 2,111 inhabitants (2014). Since a regional reform in 2014, the place is a district of the district town of Bismil.

The population consists mainly of Sunni Turks . Along with Aralık , Bakacak , Eliaçık , Karamusa , Recep , Türkmenhacı and Ulutürk, Köseli is one of the few villages in the Diyarbakır province that has been populated by Turks. The name of the village Köseli is derived from Köseali Bey , who lived here in the village.
