Türkmenhacı is a former village in Bismil County in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır . Türkmenhacı is located about 58 km southeast of the provincial capital Diyarbakır and 6 km southwest of Bismil. Turkmenhacı had 758 inhabitants (2014) according to the last census. Since a regional reform in 2014, the place is a district of the district town of Bismil.

The population consists mainly of Alevi Turks . Along with Aralık , Bakacak , Eliaçık , Karamusa , Köseli , Recep and Ulutürk, Türkmenhacı is one of the few villages in the Diyarbakır province that has been populated by Turks. The name of the village means Turkmen hādj .

For centuries the main sources of income have traditionally been agriculture and animal husbandry . Many people left the village due to lack of jobs and settled in Istanbul , Diyarbakır or Bismil.
