The steam locomotives "AENEAS" to "ORESTES" were six freight locomotives of the KFNB . They were 1848 / 1849 by Cockerill in Seraing to the KFNB with the axle formula delivered 2'B. This was the third delivery of 2B locomotives from this factory, it differed from the previous deliveries by a four-sided dome over the firebox. However, this resulted in an uneven load on the dome walls, which had to be compensated for by anchoring.

After a few years it was found that this type of boiler was producing steam that was too wet. This boiler construction was therefore abandoned from 1866 onwards . After 1853 , modifications were made again, which are shown in the table.

The machines were retired between 1865 and 1871 . The “AENEAS” was sold to the Neumann company in Vienna , the “KRONOS” to J. Strauss, also in Vienna. In 1869 the machines "KRONOS" and "SERAING", which were still in the state , were revoked in favor of new locomotives of the IXb series (later Vc, kkStB 149); they got the track numbers 306 and 307 and were in the group I filed.
