Kahoku ( Japanese か ほ く 市 , - shi ) is a city in Ishikawa Prefecture on the island of Honshū in Japan .

Kahoku was created on March 1, 2004 through the merger of the communities of Unoke ( 宇 ノ 気 町 , -machi ), Nanatsuka ( 七 塚 町 , -machi ) and Takamatsu ( 高 松 町 , -machi ) of Kahoku County .
