Nanao ( Japanese 七 尾市 , - shi ) is a city in the Japanese prefecture of Ishikawa .

geography

Nanao is north of Kanazawa on the Noto Peninsula on the Sea of ​​Japan . Since 1997, the Noto Island (Japanese Notojima) officially belongs to the city of Nanao.

Attractions

Nanao offers the visitor many different sights. The Nanao Museum, parks (including the Flower Park and the Land of Chrysanthemums with an extensive collection), temples and the like. Notojima has several beaches and campsites. There is an aquazoo with a dolphin show and a glass art museum that also trains glassblowers.
