history

Kami was founded on March 1, 2006 from the union of the communities Kahoku ( 香 北 町 , -chō ) and Tosayamada ( 土 佐 山田 町 , -chō ), as well as the village of Monobe ( 物 部 村 , -son ) of the district of Kami . The district was then dissolved.
