Location of the canton of Alfortville in the Val-de-Marne department |
The canton of Alfortville is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Créteil , in the department of Val-de-Marne and in the region of Île-de-France .
history
The canton was created in 1967 when the Val-de-Marne department was formed . In 1985 it was divided into the cantons of Alfortville-Nord and Alfortville-Sud , both of which only consisted of a part of the city of Alfortville. When the French cantons were redesigned in 2014/15, the division was reversed, so that the city of Alfortville in its entirety is congruent with the canton.
