The canton Briançon-Sud was a French canton in the arrondissement Briançon in the Hautes-Alpes department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region until 2015 . It comprised nine parishes, its main town ( French chef-lieu ) was Briançon . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. His last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Alain Bayrou.
