Chapel of the Zacherlhof (Ismaning)
The Zacherlhof chapel is a small listed court chapel in Ismaning ( Upper Bavaria ), Dorfstrasse 2 (file number D-1-84-130-1).
description
The chapel is right next to the entrance to the farm of the Zacherl family. It was built around 1800. The builder of the chapel is said to be the owner of the farm at the time.
The chapel was built entirely from adobe bricks . The pointed gable building is covered with an ornate tin roof. There is a cross on the roof ridge . In the gable facing the street there is a small Madonna figure in a niche .
At times the chapel served as a prayer station for the local Catholic community during processions .
