Karahisar is a small town in the district of Tavas in the Turkish province of Denizli . It is located about 51 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Denizli , seven kilometers northwest of Tavas and, according to the last census, had 3,940 inhabitants (as of December 2010).

The administrative area of ​​Karahisar is divided into three districts , Barış Mahallesi , Cumhuriyet Mahallesi and Seferler Mahallesi , which are administered by a Muhtar .
