Karl-Heinz Fleischer

Karl-Heinz Fleischer (born June 5, 1932 in Annaberg-Buchholz ; † 2009 ) was a German politician of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) and plant manager in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). From 1977 to 1983 he was chairman of the Gera district council .

Life

Fleischer, the son of a housewife and a cardboard box worker, learned to be a car mechanic after elementary school and worked as a driver until 1952. Then he became an employee of the Central Commission for State Control (ZKSK), an executive body of the SED. Until 1958, Fleischer was employed in their district inspection in Karl-Marx-Stadt . In 1954 he joined the SED.

In 1958, Fleischer passed the adult education college's special maturity examination and became a representative of the ZKSK in Schwarzenberg . From 1960 to 1963 he was the deputy authorized representative of the ZKSK Karl-Marx-Stadt and until 1965 there was responsible for competition issues. By 1964, Fleischer completed a distance learning course at an engineering school for mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, which he graduated as a mechanical engineer.

From 1965 to 1966, Fleischer worked for the VVB machine tools and tools in Karl-Marx-Stadt and then studied at the “Karl Marx” party college . In 1967 he became head of the plan inspection, in 1968 group leader, in 1969 acting director for plan implementation in the VVB machine tools and tools Karl-Marx-Stadt.

From 1970 to 1977 Fleischer was plant manager at VEB Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik Zeulenroda . In 1977 he succeeded Rudolf Bahmann, who suddenly died in office, as Chairman of the Gera District Council. In May 1983 he was released from this position after party proceedings for “violation of party discipline, socialist legality and party morals”.
