Karl August Ludwig Mercker
Karl August Ludwig Mercker (born June 14, 1862 in Hildesheim , † April 8, 1942 in Hanover ) was a German Protestant theologian .
Life
Born in Hildesheim at the time of the Kingdom of Hanover , Karl August Ludwig Mercker was first assistant chaplain in Hanover-Hainholz in 1888 .
In 1889 he took up the position of pastor in Moisburg , and in 1900 in Misburg .
In 1911 Mercker became superintendent in Dorum , and from 1916 in Elze during the Second World War . In 1931 he retired in Hanover and died there during the Second World War in 1942 at the age of almost 80 years.
Honors
- Merckerstraße in Misburg-Nord , laid out in 1964, is a reminder of the pastor who was in office in Misburg.
