Karl Baur (lawyer)

Karl Adolf Rudolf Baur (born October 6, 1866 in Offenburg ; † November 15, 1937 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; Catholic) was a lawyer in the Baden state service since 1896 and was retired on December 31, 1932.

Life

After studying law and earning a doctorate as a Dr. iur. from April 16, 1889 legal intern and from 1893 trainee lawyer . On September 1, 1896 he became a bailiff at the Heidelberg district office , in the same position he worked from December 11, 1900 at the Bonndorf district office , where he was appointed senior bailiff and chief executive officer from April 28, 1905. In this function, he then moved to the Schwetzingen district office and then from November 15, 1909, he became senior official and board member at the Weinheim district office . On April 18, 1910, he was awarded the title of Ministerial Councilor, he now worked in the Ministry of the Interior as a lecturing council and became a full member of the administrative board of the Official Widows' Fund. On April 10, 1913, he became an official member of the administrative board with the title of Privy Councilor at the Emmendingen district office and district administrator at the Karlsruhe district office . On December 31, 1932, Karl Baur was retired.

Awards

Baur was awarded the Badische Jubilee Medal in 1902 and three years later received the Austrian Order of the Iron Crown (3rd class). In 1908 he was awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Zähringer Lion Order and in 1913 the Knight's Cross 1st Class with Oak Leaves of the Zähringer Lion Order. He also received the Prussian Landwehr Service Award, 2nd class.
