Karl Benrath
Karl Benrath (born August 10, 1845 in Düren , † July 21, 1924 in Königsberg ) was a German church historian .
Benrath studied in Bonn , Berlin and Heidelberg from 1863 to 1866 . A year later he became a senior teacher . In Italy and England he was from 1871 to 1875 for study purposes and as a correspondent for scientific newspapers. Since 1876 habilitated lecturer in Bonn , he became in 1879 an associate professor . From 1890 to 1921 he was full professor for church history in Königsberg. In 1902/03 he was rector of the Albertus University in Königsberg .
