Karl Doehler

Karl Döhler (born April 4, 1956 in Hof ) is a German politician ( CSU ), district administrator of the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge and former member of the Bavarian state parliament .

education and profession

Karl Döhler did military service in Regensburg after graduating from high school in 1975 in Wunsiedel and then studied biology in Erlangen . After positions as a research assistant at the Universities of Karlsruhe and Bayreuth from 1982 to 1988 and after completing his doctorate, he was head of the department for safety and environmental protection at GBFmbH in Braunschweig from 1989 to 1991 . From 1991 to 1995 he worked in what was then the Ministry for the Environment of the State of Baden-Württemberg , and in 2001/2003 in the Bavarian State Ministries for Environment and Regional Development as well as for Health, Nutrition and Consumer Protection.

Karl Döhler is a member of the CSU. Since 2002 he has been a district councilor and deputy district administrator in the Wunsiedel district in the Fichtelgebirge. From October 6, 2003 to April 30, 2008 he was a member of the state parliament. For him moved Heinz Hausmann according to the state parliament.

On March 2, 2008 , Karl Döhler became district administrator in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains. This is the first time that the CSU has appointed the district administrator in Wunsiedel since it was founded after the Second World War. The Bundestag member Petra Ernstberger from the SPD was unsuccessful in the election . In the municipal elections in Bavaria in 2014 , he was re-elected as district administrator with 59 percent. The SPD candidate Jörg Nürnberger came to 41 percent.
