Karl Hanft

Karl Hanft (born July 24, 1904 in Vienna , † February 2, 1982 in Munich ) was an Austrian actor , voice actor and radio play speaker .

Live and act

After finishing high school, Hanft attended the Academy for Performing Arts in Vienna . In 1929 he became a member of the German Stage Members' Cooperative . Since 1939 he was engaged at the Bavarian State Theater. On April 13, 1943, he met with other ensemble members in Paris to appear as Arcas in a guest performance at the Comédie-Française on April 14 and 15 in the play Iphigenie auf Tauris . In 1956 he was seen at the Residenztheater as Bardolph in Shakespeare's King Henry IV . Hanft, who carried the title state actor , was the first character at the Bavarian State Theater in the 1950s - batch player .

From 1929 he took part in radio plays, especially with the Bavarian radio , such as in 1946 in a detective radio play by Helmuth M. Backhaus . Hanft has appeared in several films since 1931, and dubbed numerous English and American films. Most recently he worked especially for television.
