Karl (Carl) Hermann Rumschöttel (born November 19, 1820 in Trier , † July 11, 1885 in Wiesbaden ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Karl Hermann Rumschöttel was born as the son of Johann August Rumschöttel (1786–1845), government registrar , councilor and later director of the Trier country poor house , and Henriette Erhardina Ernestina, née. Diedrich (* 1791). At the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Trier, he obtained his Abitur in 1838. From 1838 to 1842 he studied law at the universities of Berlin and Heidelberg . In Heidelberg he became Renonce of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg , but then joined the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg, which had been suspended since 1833, in 1840 for the purpose of reconstitution .

After graduation, he became in 1842 Auskultator the Trier Regional Court and 1,844 government clerk in the government in Trier . After the assessor examination, he was transferred to the district office in Merzig , where he took over the business of the district administrator in June 1848. In September 1848 he was initially provisionally and on April 4, 1853 - after the St. Wendel District Council had renounced his right of nomination as usual - he was finally appointed District Administrator of the St. Wendel District. In May 1885, two months before his death, he, who was certainly not one of the more liberal representatives of his class, resigned for health reasons.

The regional judge and mayor of St. Johann (Saar) Karl Heinrich Rumschöttel was his brother.
