Karl Knapp (Senior Administrator)

Karl Knapp (born April 26, 1870 in Lehrensteinsfeld , † July 9, 1955, presumably in Herrenberg) was a Württemberg chief magistrate and district administrator.

Life

Born as the son of a landowner and economist, Knapp studied law in Tübingen . During his studies in 1888 he became a member of the Normannia Tübingen Association . After his exams in 1893 and 1895, he entered the Württemberg interior administration and in 1899 became a bailiff at the Aalen district office with headquarters at the Ulm district office . In 1902 he went to the Oberamt Stuttgart Office , in 1905 to the Württemberg building fire insurance company, where he worked as a collegiate assistant. In 1907 he became a planned assessor at the Oberamt Ulm and received the title of Oberamtmann . In 1911 he became senior official and senior official at the Oberamt Neresheim , in 1915 at the Oberamt Nürtingen and in 1922 at the Oberamt Freudenstadt . There he was in 1928 District Administrator . In 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP . In 1935 he retired, but in 1936 he became administrative administrator again in Crailsheim , Ellwangen , Esslingen , Ehingen , Aalen and Leonberg . In 1939 he became a representative at the Technical University of Stuttgart . He then worked as an official administrator in Tettnang , from 1940 in Wangen and again in Tettnang and Backnang . After a short time in Tübingen, from 1940 to 1943 he was the administrative administrator of the police director in Friedrichshafen . After that he was administrative administrator in Horb until 1945 , and in 1944 also in Freudenstadt .
