Karl Lessig
Karl Leopold Lessig (born January 27, 1847 in St. Petersburg , † February 12, 1911 in Czestochowa ) was a German railway engineer.
education
Karl Lessig, son of the doctor Eduard Lessig (1810-1891) and his wife Sophie geb. Fuchs († 1901), attended the Annenschule in St. Petersburg from 1859 to 1862. He then attended the Karl May School for a year and then studied mathematics at the Polytechnic in Karlsruhe until 1866 , where he became a member of the Teutonia fraternity . He then studied at the Riga Polytechnic until 1869 .
Professional background
Lessig worked on the Vladimir - Muromer Railway in 1869 . In 1870 he was involved in the construction of the Rybinsk - Bologojer Railway and in preliminary work in the Yekaterinoslav Governorate . From 1871 to 1874 Lessig was the distance manager for the construction of the Morschansk - Syzran Railway.
