Karl Oppermann (engineer, 1881)
Karl Oppermann (also: Karl FW Oppermann ; born January 4, 1881 in Hanover ; died September 3, 1946 there ) was a German civil engineer , government building officer and writer .
Life
Karl Oppermann attended the Leibniz School in Hanover , where he passed his Abitur in 1900. He then studied philosophy, literature and civil engineering at the technical university there . In 1902 he passed the state examination and graduated with the title of Dipl.-Ing.
After completing his studies, Oppermann reoriented himself as a freelance writer and mainly wrote plays, poems and epic works. Nevertheless, he worked temporarily as a graduate engineer and government construction manager in Leipzig before he returned to Hanover in 1908, where he was promoted to government master builder in 1910 .
Later Oppermann worked as a government building officer in Waldenburg in Silesia .
