Karl Leopold Maria Freiherr von Freyberg-Eisenberg zu Jetzendorf (born November 15, 1866 in Jetzendorf ; † January 10, 1940 ibid) was a German politician and the first Bavarian Minister of Agriculture after the Munich Soviet Republic .

He came from the old south German noble family of Freyberg and Freyberg-Eisenberg . Karl von Freyberg, the lord of the Jetzendorf castle , was a brewery owner, farmer and co-founder of the Raiffeisen organization in Bavaria. The baron held the dignity of a royal Bavarian chamberlain as well as a knight of the Order of St. George and acted as president of the 45th German Catholic Congress in Krefeld in 1898. From 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Upper Bavaria 4 Ingolstadt , Freising , Pfaffenhofen and the German Center Party .

As a member of the Bavarian People's Party , Freyberg served as Bavarian Agriculture Minister under Prime Minister Johannes Hoffmann from May 31, 1919 to March 14, 1920 .

Karl-von-Freyberg-Strasse is named after him in his home town of Jetzendorf.
