Karl von Rampacher

Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Rampacher , von Rampacher since 1888 , (born December 28, 1822 in Ludwigsburg , † November 18, 1910 in Ulm ) was a Württemberg governor .

Life

family

He was the son of the later Württemberg colonel and commander of the 7th Infantry Regiment Johann Christoph Friedrich von Rampacher (1789–1844) and his wife Henriette Luise Rosalie, née Finckh (1795–1877). Karl had three siblings.

In Aldingen Rampacher married Luise Christine Kemmler (1833–1902) and the marriage resulted in five children.

Career

Attended by his father's profession and the associated employment Jump Rampacher the high schools and high schools in Ludwigsburg, Ulm and Stuttgart . From 1841 to 1844 he studied law and criminal sciences in Tübingen . In 1844 Rampacher passed the first and in 1845 the second higher administrative service examination. He did his legal clerkship at the Oberamt Ludwigsburg and the government of the Neckar District , then in 1845 he became a provisional actuary and in 1846 a definitive senior actuary at the Oberamt Marbach / Neckar. In 1852 Rampacher went to the board of directors of the Württemberg building fire insurance company as an auditor, in the same capacity he later worked for the ministerial department for road and hydraulic engineering in the interior ministry, the poor commission and the central management of the charity in Stuttgart.

In 1858 Rampacher was appointed Oberamtmann von Tettnang , in 1866 he took over the Oberamt Ravensburg . In December 1870 he succeeded Gustav Albert von Kolb as senior bailiff in Ulm , at the same time he was promoted to government councilor . On June 1, 1888, Rampacher retired, which he spent in Stuttgart. In the same year King Karl awarded him the Cross of Honor of the Order of the Württemberg Crown . Associated with this was the elevation to the personal nobility status and he was allowed to call himself "von Rampacher" after his entry in the nobility register .

He was a member of the Association for Art and Antiquity in Ulm and Upper Swabia.
