Karoliina Lundahl

Satu Karoliina Lundahl (born Karoliina Leppäluoto on June 30, 1968 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish weightlifter .

Career

Karoliina grew up in Helsinki and began as a teenager with athletics (shot put, discus throwing). She also dealt with weightlifting for training purposes for these disciplines . When international weightlifting competitions were also announced in 1987, she switched to this sport. She started for "Pyrinto" Oulu and had found an excellent trainer in Jaakko Kailajärvi, a former Finnish world-class weightlifter. In 1990 she played her first international competition at the European Championships in Tenerife . In 1993 she married a former Finnish hammer thrower. Karoliina Lundahl was often in Slovakia for training purposes and trained there with Dusan Kovac. She later lived in California for a few years .

Her greatest successes were victories at the world championships in 1994 in Istanbul and in 1998 in Lahti .
