Karoline Offigstad Knotten (born January 6, 1995 ) is a Norwegian biathlete .

Career

Karoline Offigstad Knotten starts for the club Vingrom IL . She made her international competition debut in November 2016 at the IBU Cup in Beitostølen . In the following season she won - together with Emilie Ågheim Kalkenberg , Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen and Vegard Gjermundshaug - the mixed relay in Obertilliach and thus her first race in the IBU Cup. That winter she also took part in the European Championships in Ridnaun . In the winter of 2018/19 Knotten competed in her first World Cup race on the Pokljuka plateau. In the sprint, she clearly missed the points and qualification for the pursuit race with a 75th place. In the IBU Cup in Obertilliach she achieved her first podium finish in an individual race with a third place in the super sprint. The improved this performance in the same winter in Martell at the mass start 60 by one place. At the 2019 European Biathlon Championships in Minsk , she just missed the medal ranks with three fifth places. In several World Cup appearances in winter 2018/19, she achieved her first World Cup points in the pursuit race in Oberhof in January 2019 with a 28th place.
