Karsten Aurich

Karsten Aurich (born June 27, 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German film producer, production and line manager.

Karsten Aurich studied from 1998 to 2003 at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb) in the course "Film and television production". Since 1999 he has been involved in the production of cinema and television films. Karsten Aurich is a founding partner of sabotage films GmbH in Berlin and a member of the German Film Academy.

Aurich realized several full-length feature films as a production and line manager, u. a. the film The Fat Years Are Over, by director Hans Weingartner, premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004 . In 2005 he realized his first series project as executive producer, the six-part miniseries Ijon Tichy: Raumpilot for ZDF. In 2006 he was executive producer in Hans Weingartner's feature film production Free Rainer with Moritz Bleibtreu in the lead role.

In 2008, together with director Hannes Stöhr , he produced Berlin Calling , a film about techno DJ Paul Kalkbrenner . In the following year 2009 he took over the production management of the award-winning film Die Fremde by Feo Aladag . Since then he has produced various documentaries and the continuation of the ZDF series Ijon Tichy: Raumpilot .

Since 2015, Karsten Aurich has been working primarily as a producer of television films and series for prime time on ARD and ZDF .
