Kasimir Konstantin Plater
Count Kasimir Konstantin Plater (* 1746/1749; † August 4, 1807 ) was the last Lithuanian Vice Chancellor before the Russian takeover .
Life
Kasimir Konstantin was a member of the German-Baltic noble family von dem Broel called Plater . His parents were Count Konstantin Ludwig Plater (1722–1778) and Princess Augusta Ogińska (1724–1791).
Plater belonged to the Polish party leaning towards Russia and was a participant in the Targowica Confederation . From 1790 to 1793 he was castellan of Trakai , as well as Livonian Starost von Dünaburg . As a consular he was a member of the Permanent Council and was still an officer in the Royal Polish National Cavalry. The count state it was in 1773 applied .
Plater was directly involved in the processes of the second and third partition of Poland through various diplomatic missions, especially to Russia, and was actively involved in these from the Polish side.
family
Plater married Isabell Ludwika von der Borch (1752–1813), a sister of Count Michael Johann von der Borch and daughter of the Polish Chancellor Johann Andreas Josef von der Borch (1715–1780) and Ludwika Anna von Syberg in Warsaw in 1773 (1725-1788). The marriage produced seven sons:
- Ludwig (1775–1846), Polish general commissioner in the Ministry of Finance, senator and castellan, ⚭ Maria Brzostowska
- Johann (1776–1850), ⚭ Karolina Plater (1784–1840)
- Michael (1777–1862), Polish engineer major, Councilor of Courland, Lithuanian lieutenant governor, ⚭ 1803 Baroness Isabella Helena Syberg zu Wischling (1785–1849) → first parents of Count Plater-Syberg
- Constantine (1778–1849), Polish aristocratic marshal
- Casimir (1780–1848), ⚭I Hedwig Plater; ⚭II Katarzyna Szczawińska; III Adela Heyden
- Stanislaus (1784–1851), Polish officer, historian and geographer, ⚭ Antonina Gajewska (1791–1866)
