Katarzyna Furmanek (born February 19, 1996 ) is a Polish hammer thrower .

Athletic career

For the first time at a major international event, Katarzyna Furmanek competed in 2013 at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she finished sixth with 66.64 m. Then she retired at the Junior European Championships in Rieti with 57.34 m in qualification. In the following year she reached seventh place at the Junior World Championships in Eugene with a width of 61.93 m, before winning the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden, with 63.80 m. In 2017 she finished sixth at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz with 66.45 m and in 2019 she won the bronze medal at the Summer Universiade in Naples with 69.68 m behind Ukrainian Iryna Klymez and her compatriot Malwina Kopron .
