Catherine de Bruyn

Katharina de Bruyn (born April 24, 1940 in Tegernsee ; † February 26, 1993 in Traunstein ) was a Bavarian folk actress . In her roles she embodied the beautiful farmer's daughter or the amiable wife.

Life

The daughter of an interpreter of Dutch descent was discovered and promoted by Olf Fischer . After a long-term engagement at the Tegernsee Dengel-Bühne, de Bruyn appeared in numerous productions of the comedy nobility on Bavarian television for over 20 years , including the plays The Marriage Strike (1971) and The Three Village Saints (1972). She was also seen in several episodes of the Royal Bavarian District Court and alongside Walter Sedlmayr and Max Grießer in Police Inspection 1 . Since 1976 she has played theater at the Little Comedy in Munich.

In addition, the artist also worked for television productions ( Der Kommissar , Derrick , Der Alte , Rußige Zeiten ) and extensively for radio. So she lent her voice u. a. various characters, especially mother roles, in the Pumuckl radio plays by Ellis Kaut . Already in the radio version of Eder gets visitors (1971). She also played in an episode of the television series "Meister Eder und seine Pumuckl" , which was used (together with three other episodes) in the first feature film "Meister Eder und seine Pumuckl" .

The actress died of breast cancer . She rests in the cemetery in Bad Wiessee .
