Kathy Krause

Kathy Savannah Krause (born October 7, 1982 in Bochum ) is a German-American musical performer and international artist.

Life

Kathy Savannah Krause was born in Bochum as the daughter of a theatrical make-up artist and master hairdresser and an American entrepreneur. At age 11, she was one of the few students of mezzo-soprano Bianca by Zambelli and opera soloist Edith Hower for soprano trained and received in local competitions awards bel canto -Gesang. She won the Italian singing contest live in Gardone in the television show Sommer, Sonne, Sat1 on the television station Sat. 1 and then began studying musicals at the Stage School in Hamburg at the age of 16 and she attended workshops at the Fontys Dansacademie in the Netherlands.

She made her musical debut in the German premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph at the Colosseum Theater in Essen. She was one of the original cast of the show Rock meets Musical and toured Europe with a Broadway musical show. Krause created the role of Talin for the musical world premiere of The Land of Fey . In four languages, the soprano interpreted the title of "Christine" for The Phantom of the Opera on stage with concert excerpts. also in Las Vegas, USA. Since 2010 she has been a guest star in the musical tour production "Night of Musicals" and can also be heard on the cast album. Composer Frank Nimsgern brought her to Neunkirchen in 2013 for the ARD television recording of his musical “ SnoWhite ”, where she took on the title role of Snow White .

In addition to her musical career, Kathy S. Krause has performed as an artist on international concert and gala stages. She worked with artists from a wide variety of fields, such as Udo Lindenberg , the director Roman Polański and the conductor Helmut Imig . In 2007 she sang several concerts with tenor Johannes Groß ( German Tenors ) and the Chinese tenor Yuemin Zhao . a. Excerpts from Carmen ( Bizet ) and the Queen of the Night (from Mozart's Magic Flute ) and was on stage as Evita with “Don't cry for me, Argentina”. For Wolf Codera's Christmas Concert 2007 she was on stage as a special guest under the musical direction of Dirk Benner , and she sang for the Session Possible in 2008, accompanied by the Sarah Connor band. With Peter Schnell , she sang the official NRW anthem for the Fest des Westens 2009 in the Berlin State Office. In 2010 the singer was a guest star next to Udo Lindenberg on the stage of the Philharmonie Essen . As part of the Udo Lindenberg Foundation's benefit concert , she sang live excerpts from The Phantom of the Opera with “Phantom actor” Dale Tracy . In June 2010, the soprano sang a private concert for the soccer World Cup in Africa. In February 2012, Kathy Savannah Krause was a guest star for the Roberto Cavalli Roadshow in Germany.

In her free time, the artist is a representative of several aid projects such as B. the Christoph Metzelder Foundation, "Hundebrücke e. V. ”and“ Vita assistance dogs ”, for which she and other musical colleagues, including Uwe Kröger , Bernie Blanks , Brent Berret , Isabel Dörfler and Dale Tracy , took part in August 2010 under the motto Don't stop believin'-Domi and Miss Sophie , gave a donation concert at the RuhrCongress Bochum . The soprano also supports and encourages budding musical performers. Since 2009 she has given workshops at international musical schools and teaches singing at the “Fit in Music” School in Hamburg.
