Kathy Tremblay (born June 16, 1982 in Sainte-Foy , now part of Quebec ) is a former Canadian triathlete . She is a two-time Olympian (2008 and 2012) and a former member of the national team.

Career

Tremblay graduated from the Université de Montréal with a bachelor's degree in PR and economics (Relations industrielles, relations publiques et création d'entreprises) and was coached by her friend David-James Taché .

Kathy Tremblay also credits her success to the unreserved support of her family, namely her parents Francine and Remi , who work for the Canadian military, and her sister Melanie .

In August 2008 she started at the Olympic Games in Beijing, where she finished 31st out of 55 women.
In 2009 she was third at the Triathlon World Championship in the mixed team for Canada.

In 2012 she was able to place again for a starting place in London together with Paula Findlay , Simon Whitfield and Kyle Jones , but could not finish the race after a wheel fall.

After the 2012 season, she announced that she would take a year off. Since then she has not appeared internationally.

Kathy Tremblay has been married since September 2012 and lives in Montréal with her husband and son .
