Pedro Marcos Ribeiro da Costa
Pedro Marcos Ribeiro da Costa (born October 21, 1921 in Cajikole , Malanje Province ; † September 3, 2010 ) was an Angolan clergyman and bishop of Saurimo .
Life
Pedro Marcos Ribeiro da Costa was ordained a priest on January 23, 1949 after completing his studies in the seminary of the diocese of Malanje . After working in various parishes, he became vicar general in Malanje in 1975 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on February 3, 1977 Bishop of Henrique de Carvalho . The Apostolic Delegate in Angola , Archbishop Giovanni De Andrea , donated him episcopal ordination on March 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Alexandre do Nascimento , Archbishop of Lubango and Oscar Lino Lopes Fernandes Braga , Bishop of Benguela .
On January 15, 1997, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation. He died of complications from cardiovascular failure.
