Katrina Alexandra "Katie" Price , née Infield , (born May 22, 1978 in Brighton ) is a British model , singer and entrepreneur . At the beginning of her career she became known by the stage name Jordan , which she no longer uses.

biography

childhood

When Price was four years old, her father left the family. Some time later, her mother married an Englishman named Price. Since then, her last name has been Price instead of Infield. She attended Blatchington Mill High School in Brighton. When she was 13, she had herself photographed for a clothing company.

The breakthrough as a "Page 3 Girl"

Price became known through the photos as " Page Three girl " in the English tabloid The Sun and through multiple breast enlargements. In November 1997, Price appeared in a special issue of the men's magazine Playboy . By 1999, Price was featured in the Playboy's Book of Lingerie five more times.

In the same year, Price appeared at several promotional events for the Formula 1 team Jordan Grand Prix and was declared the first pit slut by the tabloids . This is where her stage name "Jordan" comes from.

Price had her picture taken for Playboy in September 2002, and her first calendar appeared later that year. She also started taking singing lessons to improve her voice.

Documentaries and books

The BBC has broadcast three Richard Macer documentaries in the past few years on Price's life so far. In 2002 the first part appeared under the title Jordan: The Truth About Me . In 2004 Jordan: The Model Mum and Jordan: You Don't Even Know Me were published .

Price's first autobiography , Being Jordan , was published in May 2004 and was a hit with audiences.

Price published the erotic novel Angel in 2006 and three children's books in 2007 entitled Perfect Ponies , her second erotic novel Crystal, and her second autobiography Jordan: A Whole New World . According to multiple reports in the British press, Price's books were ghost- written by the writer Rebecca Farnworth.

On June 7, 2001, Price ran for the Manchester constituency in the UK general election . Their motto was: "For a Bigger and Better Future" ("For a bigger and better future"). She promised voters free breast augmentations and the abolition of tickets. In the end she got 713 (1.8%) votes.

music

On March 5, 2005, Price took part in the Making Your Mind Up show and sang a song called Not Just Anybody . In the show, Price only took second place and was therefore unable to represent her home country, the United Kingdom, in the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine . In 2006 she and her then husband Peter André recorded an album with duets produced by Sony BMG (title: A Whole New World ), the proceeds of which went to various British charities , including a Jewish one . A few years earlier, Price had made public that her maternal grandmother was Jewish. On August 20, 2015, the British newspaper The Sun reported that Price had expressed an interest in competing for the UK in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest .

Private life

In 2002 Price suffered from a malignant tumor ( leiomyosarcoma ) on his finger. She had the tumor removed at Nuffield Hospital in Brighton .

In 2002 Price had their first child, a son who was born blind due to underdevelopment of the optic nerve and who suffers from autism and Prader-Willi syndrome . The child's father is Dwight Yorke , a former national soccer player from Trinidad and Tobago , with whom she was previously briefed. After comedian Frankie Boyle made tasteless jokes about her son on his 2011 program, Price posted a replica in the Daily Mail advocating respect for the disabled. The station Sky Living sent to the 45-minute documentary "Katie: Standing up for Harvey."

In 2004, Price participated in the UK edition of I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! (I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!) Where she met the singer Peter André . Their first child, a boy, was born on June 13, 2005. They married on September 10, 2005 in Newbury .

In 2007, Price was named Grattan Celebrity Mom of the Year 2007 . In the same year Price had another child with André, this time a girl.

In May 2009, Price and André announced the end of their marriage, four months later they divorced. Price dropped out of the 2009 jungle camp on November 22, 2009 after audiences sent her to jungle testing for seven consecutive days.

In 2010 Price married her partner, the professional mixed martial arts competitor (Cage Fighter) Alex Reid in Las Vegas . Reid was best known for the English TV show Celebrity Big Brother , where he left the house as a winner on January 29, 2010. Dane Bowers, Price's ex-boyfriend and also a participant in the show, made it to second place by audience vote. In January 2011 the couple separated.

In early 2013, Price married Kieran Hayler, a former stripper . In mid-August, two months before the actual due date, their son was born in an emergency operation. In May 2014, she announced that she had split up with Hayler after he had a seven-month affair with her best friend. At the same time, she announced that she was pregnant with her fifth child. Their daughter was born on August 3, 2014, two weeks early. In 2015, she had her breast implants removed because of an infection.

Own collection of riding clothes

Price has been a passionate rider since she was seven. In 2009 she presented her own collection under the brand name Katie Price Equestrian (in German: Katie Price Equestrian) . On August 23, 2009, Price presented their brand's riding clothing at the Santa María Polo Club in Sotogrande (southern Spain ). The motto of the collection was put some glamor and sparkle into your riding and was aimed at women (KPE clothing) and children (KPE pony).

On November 26, 2019, referring to information from the competent bankruptcy court of the High Court , the BBC reported that Price had been declared bankrupt after failing to adhere to a debt settlement plan at a hearing it failed to attend.
