Kautendorf is a district of the municipality of Döhlau in the district of Hof and is located about two kilometers east of the main town .

geography

Kautendorf is in the east of the municipality. To the north is the neighboring village of Tauperlitz , to the east Draisendorf , to the south Woja and to the west Döhlau. Kautendorf is connected to the B 15 in the direction of Hof and the A 93 via the HO 5 district road .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1368. The Weißelsdorf were named as the owners in 1390 , later it was among others the Rabensteiner zu Döhlau and the von Kotzau . In 1520 the Kautendorfer Kirchsprengel was founded with Draisendorf, Woja, Kühschwitz and Wurlitz. In 1633, 44 residents died as a result of a plague epidemic brought in by soldiers during the Thirty Years' War . On January 1, 1972, part of the dissolved municipality of Draisendorf was incorporated. On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into Döhlau as part of the Bavarian municipal reform, the Kühschwitz district came to Rehau .
