Kecskéd is a Hungarian community in the county Oroszlány in Komárom-Esztergom .
Geographical location
Kecskéd is located in northern Hungary at the north-western foot of the Vértes Mountains , which belong to the Hungarian Central Mountains in Transdanubia . The place is 55 km west of Budapest , 10 km southwest of Tatabánya and 4 km north of Oroszlány .

From the Tatabánya-Centrum junction of the M1 motorway ( European roads E 60 , E 75 Vienna - Budapest ) it is 13 km to Kecskéd. Road number 8155 runs through the municipality. There are two train stations in Kecskéd. The Kecskéd alsó station in the southeastern part of the village is connected to the railway line from Tatabánya to Oroszlány. The station in the northwestern part of the village is located on the former railway line from Tatabánya to Pápa , on which passenger traffic was discontinued in 2007.
