Keirut Wenzel (born March 30, 1972 in Herford ) is a German actor , comedian , stand-up comedian , cabaret artist and presenter .

Life

He grew up in Bonn , where he studied biology with a focus on genetics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn .

Already during his school days at the Clara-Schumann-Gymnasium in Bonn he was on stage with the Comedy Crocodiles (consisting of himself, Oliver Bröker Bastian Pastewka and Bernhard Hoëcker , the latter two also from the aforementioned school) and in various television programs in the comedy sector. After completing his degree in biology , Wenzel decided to become a full-time actor and comedian, and in 1998 and 1999 he attended workshops in various drama schools in London . Back in Germany, he graduated in 2000 Cologne Comedy School , where he 2001 for the Sat.1 telecast What are you looking at ?! was discovered with Kaya Yanar .

From 2002 Wenzel toured the stage as a stand-up comedian with his solo program Ich bin so happy! through Germany. Wenzel showed his first moderation monthly from 2002 to 2007 in the comedy show Wednesday Night Live in Bonn. Wenzel later became a regular presenter in the First Cologne Living Room Theater in Cologne. a. also at the oblique-of-show at the Cologne Comedy Festival .

Wenzel currently moderates the monthly comedy show Juxmix , in which established artists appear on a very small stage in Heimathirsch in Cologne-Nippes. In addition to various comedy and cabaret shows, galas and events, Wenzel also moderates some of the live shows on the TV program Nightwash across Germany .
