Keresztéte is a municipality in the county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén .
Geographical location
Keresztéte is located in northeast Hungary , near the Slovakian border. Miskolc is 65 km, the nearest town Encs 30 km from Keresztéte.
economy
Keresztéte is characterized by agriculture. The fruit growing (apples) on a good 200 hectares is important. Like other villages in this part of Hungary, Keresztéte is threatened by aging and extinction.
Tourism and sightseeing
The village is touched by the Cserehát circular route (red route sign). There are simple holiday apartments in former farmhouses. The small Roman Catholic church Krisztus Király-kápolna , which also served as a schoolhouse, is a special feature of the village.
