Kerri Kenney-Silver (born January 20, 1970 in Westport , Connecticut ) is an American actress and singer .

biography

Kerri Kenney-Silver grew up in her hometown of Westport, Connecticut . Her father is the actor Larry Kenney, who is best known as a voice actor in the United States .

In the early 1990s, Kenney got her first major role in the MTV improvised comedy MTV The State , which made it to three seasons between 1993 and 1995. In 1996 she co-produced the series Viva Variete , a parody of variety shows. This ran for two seasons on the American station Comedy Central .

In 2000, Kenney followed in her father's footsteps and dubbed the voice of "Gravitina" for the first time in the animated film Buzz Lightyear of Star Command , and has since been dubbing for series on Nickelodeon .

From 2003 to 2009 she played in the Reno 911 series ! the policewoman Deputy Trudy Wiegel.

Kenney was also the singer of her own indie rock band called Cake Like from 1993 to 1999 . She is married to cameraman Steven V. Silver, and their son was born on August 6, 2006.
