The Kesselspitze is at 2728 m above sea level. A. is a mountain in the Stubai Alps in Tyrol . It lies between the Gschnitztal in the southeast and the Stubai valley in the northwest. It is only slightly higher than the main, better-known peak of the Serles , which lies northeast of the Kesselspitze.
Climbs
The summit can be climbed from the south and north, although the ascent via the Stubai Valley is significantly steeper. From the Kesselspitze it is possible to get to the Serles or the Padasterjochhaus . The steep ascent starts from the Stubai Valley in Kampl, a district of Neustift in the Stubai Valley . The path does not present any technical difficulties, but it is very steep throughout. The ascent takes 4 to 5 hours for average hikers. On the other side of the mountain, the ascent begins at the pilgrimage site of Maria Waldrast and stretches over steep meadows up to the summit. In winter, this variant is also suitable for ski tourers.
