Kevin Michael Manning

Kevin Michael Manning (born November 2, 1933 in Coolah , Australia ) is the Former Bishop of Parramatta .

Life

The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregatio de Propaganda Fide and Patriarch of Cilicia , Grégoire-Pierre XV. Cardinal Agagianian ordained him on December 20, 1961 as a priest of the Diocese of Bathurst .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Armidale on April 26, 1991 . The Archbishop of Sydney , Edward Bede Cardinal Clancy , ordained him episcopal on July 10 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Henry Joseph Kennedy , Old Bishop of Armidale, and Patrick Dougherty , Bishop of Bathurst.

He was named bishop of Parramatta on July 10, 1997, and initiated into office on August 21 of the same year. On January 8, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.

He was Apostolic Administrator of Wilcannia-Forbes from December 30, 2010 to December 1, 2012 .
