action

Francis never wanted children, but his wife Marie brought ten-year-old Lola and five-year-old Raphaël into the marriage. Above all, Lola is a pain in the ass, behaves like a diva and demanding and does not accept her stepfather as an authority figure. David and Anna Sebaq have two daughters, Salomé and Rachel, who are constantly bickering and also disrespecting their parents. Élisabeth and François-Xavier Michelet de Varagnes, in turn, believe that they have good children with their twins Maxence and Clarence and their daughter Clémence, but they do the most stupid things behind their backs. The barbers and Sebaqs first decide to do something about the untenable conditions in their own house. However, the first own initiatives do not bring any results. You therefore turn to the psychologist Laurence Culerrier, who gives the parents initial support. On the one hand, the children should be treated more strictly, but on the other hand, they should also be given limited freedom. In any case, the parents must have the last word.

Since the two families have become friends, Francis, Marie, David and Anna decide to spend the evening together in the disco. Lola refuses to spend the evening with the nanny, so Francis and Marie cancel the meeting. However, David and Anna enforce their parents' plan, guide them secretly out of the house and smuggle the nanny into the apartment. In the disco, the families reaffirm the goal of having the say in their own house again. In order to avenge herself for the evening spent with the nanny, Lola behaves particularly cheekily the next morning, puts her feet on the table, nags about the food and finally spits out breakfast demonstratively. At lunchtime, Francis visits his stepdaughter at school and behaves in the school canteen just like she does in the morning. Lola is embarrassed by his appearance in front of the classmates. Lola's constant chatting on the Internet is now also monitored by her parents. In addition, they tap into the telephone in the house through secondary stations and can now listen to the children's phone calls.

The Michelet de Varagnes find out how their children actually live late. When the three of them steal class work at school to sell to the students, the family finally turns to Marie for help, who works for François-Xavier Michelet de Varagnes and who has told him about her successes in the struggle for Lola. The previously spoiled children of the Michelet de Varagnes no longer get their things washed, they have to tidy up their room themselves and also take care of their own food. Although the children support each other at school, they soon have to realize that they cannot get against their parents. In the end, they decide to harm their parents where it hurts them particularly: They put their own apartments or house online for sale or rents. The onslaught of interested parties has broken the barrel for the parents. They take their children to a juvenile correctional facility - just to scare them. The children, however, run away and go to the psychologist, who they blame for all that happened. Laurence Culerrier makes it clear to them how important the parents are for the good development of the children and that the children should accept and appreciate their help.

Some time later the three families go to a picnic. They are delighted at how well the children behave, but they soon fall back into old ways: the Sebaq's daughters quarrel, the twins are nonsense and Raphaël makes his father's car roll away. Before the parents can get angry, a rain shower comes down and everyone starts laughing.
