Kidz Bop
Kidz Bop is a series of compilation albums in which children cover contemporary popular songs. The series was initiated in 2001 by the founders of the company Razor & Tie , Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam. The original songs covered on the compilations are mostly high in the US single charts and mostly experienced a lot of radio airplay in the United States .
The children's band that plays the songs on the compilations is called KIDZ BOP Kids . The lyrics are adapted to suit families. By 2015, the series had sold more than 16 million albums. The franchise was also expanded to include merchandising items, music videos, concert tours and talent competitions. The face of the brand is the children's band, whose members are determined during auditions. By January 18, 2019, 39 albums had been released in the main series alone.

Chart successes
The KIDZ BOP Kids landed in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 number one in the best list of artists for children's music by the US music magazine Billboard . The Kidz Bop 26 , released in July 2014, was the fortieth album that could reach a listing in the US album charts . Since the first edition of the compilation series in 2001, the Kidz Bop series has sold more than 16 million copies.
In November of 2015 the announced Billboard magazine that the Kidz Bop series at No. 4 of the artist with the most top 10 albums in the US album charts was recorded and thus a higher ranking than Bruce Springsteen and Madonna could reach .
Kidz Bop 25 was the best-selling children's album in 2014, Kidz Bop 27 the one in 2015.
Other Projects
Tours
In 2007 the first tour with 29 concerts took place. Since 2014 they have been doing a US-wide tour with up to 50 concerts every year. The company has been working with the organizer Live Nation Entertainment since 2016 .
Kidz Star USA talent show
In 2010 started Kidz Bop with Kidz Star USA , a national talent show for children and adolescents under 15 years. The first winner was Hunter Pecunia from Dallas , Texas . His successor, Kiana Brown, won the second edition of the music competition and won a recording deal with RCA Records . American Idol season eight winner Kris Allen was a judge and mentor.
Dallas Wayde won the competition in 2012. His mentor was Davin Megraw. A year later, Isabel Lacatus was the winner. Her mentor was Jennette McCurdy .
Radio broadcast
In January 2012, Kidz Bop started its own radio broadcast on Sirius XM . Kidz Bop Block Party was broadcast every Friday on Kids Place Live (Channel 78). Two years later, in partnership with Sirius XM , he founded his own station under the name KIDS BOP Radio , on which the songs from the Kidz Bop publications are broadcast.
Video game
On September 14th 2010, Kidz Bop Dance Party! The Video Game released a video game for the Nintendo Wii .
