Kiev Stingl

Kiev Stingl (* 1943 in Aussig , Sudetenland ; civil: Gerd Stingl ) is a German rock musician and actor .

Life

Stingl grew up in Hamburg and attended the Sankt Ansgar School there , which he left with a high school diploma . In 1985 he moved from Hamburg to Berlin .

Music productions

Stingl's first record was called Teuflisch (1975) and was released by the Hamburg music label Ahorn by the musicians and producers Achim Reichel and Frank Dostal . On his second music album Hart wie Mozart (1979, Ahorn) he was accompanied by the band Sterea Lisa . The record cover of the first edition drew a lawsuit from the magazine Der Spiegel because it was modeled after a Spiegel cover. Hamburg telephone numbers were shown where the foreign prices are on the original . The cover was changed in the later editions. The third album was entitled I wish the Germans all the best (1981, Ahorn). Then the collaboration with Achim Reichel ended.

The fourth album Grausam das Gold und jubig die Pest (1989) was released on the Hamburg label What's So Funny About . It was produced by Dieter Meier , the singer of the Swiss electro pop group Yello . Stingl was supported musically by Frank-Martin Strauss (artist name: FM Einheit , Einstürzende Neubauten ) and the guitarists Alexander Hacke and Achim Mennicken.
